Hi, I’m Shell Lanius — a solo musician and multi-instrumentalist who turns every performance into a full-band experience. Using a custom setup, I create backing tracks on the fly, layering drums, bass, guitar, keys, and sax live in the moment. It’s a seamless blend of instruments, crafted in real time with energy, precision, and soul.

My influences span a wide musical landscape — from the swampy grit of Muddy Waters to the theatrical genius of Frank Zappa, the heartland power of Kansas, and the soulful fire of Bonnie Raitt. That mix fuels a style that’s bold, unexpected, and grounded in feel. Each performance is built on that foundation — bluesy, funky, melodic, and occasionally off-the-wall in all the right ways.
